Short Term Study Visa Information

 

If you are an overseas student planning to study with us in the UK, you may need  a Short-term Study Visa to do so. Depending on your course, you can apply for:

• A Short-term Study Visa for up to 11 months.

• A Standard Visitor Visa for up to 6 months.

Requirements & Restrictions

Under the Short-Term Study Visa, the following conditions apply:

• You must study the specific course for which your visa was granted.

• You are required to leave the UK within 30 days of completing your course.

• This visa cannot be used for frequent or consecutive visits to the UK.

• You are not allowed to work or participate in any business activities during your stay.

• You cannot extend this visa or switch to another visa type while in the UK.

Requirements for Students Under 18

 

• You must be at least 16 years old upon arrival in the UK to be eligible for a Short-Term Study Visa.

• Students under 18 must provide contact details of at least one parent or guardian in their home country.

• If traveling alone, you will need written consent from both parents (or one parent if they have sole responsibility) or from your legal guardian. We recommend requesting a template letter from the language center to ensure it meets the necessary standards.

• If traveling with an adult over 18 who is not your parent or guardian, that person must be named on your visa application. Up to two adults can be named, and you must arrive in the UK with at least one of them. Full details can be found on the GOV.UK website
